Day 3 - Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper X

Hey there, day 3 is done! Just did Shoulders & Arms followed by Ab Ripper X. The first of them was actually easier than the two on the previous days. I'm doing it with the bands because I don't think I'm at the level required for the weights. Also, my dumbbells are those that you add and remove weights as necessary, so they have the plus of flexibility but the minus that for changing them you have to actually spend some time regulating them, not a great fit for P90X videos. I didn't do the bonus round because I knew I had the Ab Ripper X waiting for me after it and this one was always one of the hardest for me. With Ab Ripper X it didn't feel impossible, though I didn't push myself to do all the reps for all exercises. When it started to really hurt, I'd stop and wait for the next exercise. My hopes are that over time I'll be able to handle more and more, eventually completing all the reps. Despite that, I couldn't finish the whole program

Day 2 - Cardio X

Did Cardio X yesterday, but only got around blogging about it today -- almost 24h later. I did better in Cardio X than in Core Synergistics but ended up not finishing it too. I think I could've done it, but 8 minutes before the end I've stopped a little bit to recover my breath and take a sip of water... and ended up taking too long doing it. During this what should have been a short pause, I've went to my bedroom to find out that my dog had peed on my bed. If only I needed one excuse to stop the exercises and go do something else, that was it; it ruined my mood, I've hit the stop button and went on taking of the bed sheets and cleaning his artwork.

Day 1 - Core Synergistics

It's funny to start at this one. Since I'm currently more concerned with being fat and weak than with getting ripped, I decided to do the lean series this time. Last time I tried, Core Synergistic entered the schedule on the "rest week". I remember thinking back then that the whole "muscle confusion" thing that Beachbody advertised about was actually a real thing, since the new workout actually seemed way harder than the others. Maybe for different reasons, or maybe because it really is harder than the others, I did find it quite hard to finish, and ended up ending the session half way through. I can't say I'm proud of it, though I'm not ashamed either. The goal is to keep pressing play and keep pushing so that at some point I'm able to finish it. Today's fun part was heating up, today's hard part was all the push ups and core muscles exercises. Overall, I'm feeling good about it. I"m feeling less stressed out than I was

Motivation

Hey there! Leandro signing in here. I'm starting P90X today once again. I'm saying again because I did try it several years ago. I was already quite untrained back then, but a few years younger, a little stronger, slimmer and had way less responsibilities. The last time I got three weeks in and caught a dengue fever. I did try to go back after I've recovered from the dengue fever, but didn't manage to pick it up again. The reason why I'm trying this again is because P90X was actually one of the most interesting exercise series I've done, counting both gym and at home series. It's hard, it's actually quite above my current fitness level but it feels good... For me, it kind of carries a sense of purpose. Even if I can't do all exercises, it feels like I'm doing as much as I can and not slacking off while pretending to be working out. Of course, there's also the alternative of doing no exercise at all, which is pretty much what I've been
